  • Baptiste Mispelon What's the best strategy for exchanging currencies? I assume buying CHF at the airport will be a ripoff (this seems to be an international standard). Is there an exchange office not far from the stadium that has acceptable rates? Or is it better to try and change money in one's country before leaving to Switzerland?
  • Erik Romijn Will I need power converters for euro/schuko plugs? I'm told euro should fit everywhere, but schuko was unclear to me.
  • Sébastien Fievet I've finally booked an accommodation via AirBnB (http://airbnb.com), with a big bargain at the end. Woot!
  • Iacopo Spalletti Not really an accomodation issue: does anyone knows if telco shops are open on sunday? I'd like to get a swiss SIM for the conference duration, but I'll arrive on sunday afternoon, not exactly the best timeframe for shops to be open
  • Jonas Obrist For everyone staying at the Ramada Hotel, follow the directions on our website at http://2012.djangocon.eu/zurich/get-here/ but get off at Friedhofstrasse on the tram line 2, which is one station after Letzigrund.
  • Jonas Obrist If you eat meat, you have to try Bratwurst in Zurich, a Swiss specialty sausage. The best place to get it is at Vorderer Sternen, a grill stand at Bellevue.
  • Jonas Obrist Don't miss Sprüngli, the best chocolate in town! (Yes, some non-believers will tell you that Teuscher is better, but they're lying). There are a 3 stores in the main station, so you shouldn't have a problem finding them.

  • Jonas Obrist Pro version of the "Get Here" instruction: If you come from ZRH airport to one of the two hotels and your train stops at Hardbrücke Station, you can get off there, take bus 33 (direction Morgental) or bus 72 (direction Triemli) to Albisriederplatz. It's faster and more convenient, but not all trains from ZRH stop at that station, which is why I didn't add it to the official page.
