Daniele Procida For sprinters, I can recommend Samses (vegetarian) on the corner of Langstrasse and Heinrichstrasse. -
Audrey Roy Can't get enough cheese after the raclette at Divio? Reply to this thread if you're interested in having more cheese: short trips to buy cheese, fondue, more raclette, etc. -
Remco Wendt Tomorrow morning at sunrise, there is the transit of Venus. A rare alignment that makes Venus visible in front of the sun. The next transit will be in 2117 :) So probably we should continue @ divio's office tonight until sunrise. Who's in? For more details see: http://www.transitofvenus.org/ -
Audrey Roy To the ladies attending DjangoCon: Lynn and I thought it would be nice to get together informally for breakfast on Wednesday morning. Please come! DjangoCon Europe Women's Breakfast (An unofficial event brought to you by members of the Django community.) This is an opportunity for women attending DjangoCon Europe to meet each other, form friendships, and talk about Django. All women attending the conference are invited. This is a friendly, informal meet & greet. Emphatically queer and trans friendly. +1 guests are welcome. Co-hosted by: * Lynn Root, speaker, “Involving Women in the Community” * Audrey Roy, speaker, “Round Pegs and Square Holes: Django and MongoDB” Attendees are asked to bring cash in case the restaurant can’t split the check. The small breakfast is approximately CHF 9.80.- (a croissant, small bread, marmalade, a drink), the bigger one is CHF 15.80 (more bread and additionally cheese). Wednesday, June 6, 2012 8am-9:30am Bäckerei Konditorei Café Bauer Restaurant is located at the Albisriederplatz stop on Tram 2. It is a 10-minute walk away from the conference venue. -
Daniele Procida Any suggestions on where to eat this evening, once Heroku's drinks and snacks have been consumed? -
Baptiste Mispelon What's the best strategy for exchanging currencies? I assume buying CHF at the airport will be a ripoff (this seems to be an international standard). Is there an exchange office not far from the stadium that has acceptable rates? Or is it better to try and change money in one's country before leaving to Switzerland? -
Daniel Hepper Where are the running djangonauts? If you want to go running while @djangocon in Zürich, let's get in touch! -
Erik Romijn Will I need power converters for euro/schuko plugs? I'm told euro should fit everywhere, but schuko was unclear to me. -
Sébastien Fievet I've finally booked an accommodation via AirBnB (http://airbnb.com), with a big bargain at the end. Woot! -
Jonas Obrist Nice restaurant to eat with it's own brewery: http://www.steinfels-zuerich.ch/ Take Bus 33 from Albisriederplatz towards Bahnhof Tiefenbrunnen and get off at Schiffbau. Map: http://g.co/maps/rv9kz -
Iacopo Spalletti Not really an accomodation issue: does anyone knows if telco shops are open on sunday? I'd like to get a swiss SIM for the conference duration, but I'll arrive on sunday afternoon, not exactly the best timeframe for shops to be open -
